This book is a result of a multi-faceted ‘Trial and Error’ initiative designed by the Center for Court Innovation and the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance to promote innovation at the grassroots level by encouraging criminal justice agencies to engage in a process of trial and error. “Daring to Fail” includes a representative sample of first-person interviews conducted with leading criminal justice scholars, practitioners, and policymakers as part of this ‘Trial and Error’ initiative.
